  23. Dude, if there's only one thing you should have learned from the events of
  24. the past year, it's that NOTHING in this liquidation fiasco is going
  25. smoothly!  Granted, some very important steps were finally taken last week,
  26. but this thing is far from finished and it's gonna be a long time before we
  27. see brand new Amigas selling again! (VERY optimistically = 2 months)

  29. And if the Amiga somehow recaptures a fraction of it's former glory, do you 
  30. really think that developers are gonna be scrambling to port their software
  31. to it?  I mean, how many developers have dumped the Amiga in the past year?
  32. Do you think they're gonna be that anxious to come back to the Amiga??

  34. Yes, I'm pleased that my 3 Amigas may have just been granted a reprieve from
  35. doorstop status, or at least got their lives extended a bit further, but
  36. honestly, I'm still shopping for a nice Pentium system to sit next to them
  37. and I'm definitely getting LightWave 4.0 for the PC.

  39. I know what you're going through though...I felt really happy this past
  40. weekend when I read that there were some real developments in the buyout,
  41. but try to keep your perspective on this...the Amiga will NEVER reach the
  42. status that the IBM or Mac currently has and the people that left the Amiga
  43. for other platforms did not make mistakes, they simply chose to follow safer 
  44. paths.  Safe is Nice.
